Looking west along the trackbed towards Morfa Mawddach in December 2011 from alongside the former Penmaenpool Station signalbox see image 13937. The surviving signal post and arms still stand alongside the old station master's house, ticket office and waiting room building, complete with hanging 'Platform 1' sign. The road ahead, once a level crossing, runs onto a toll bridge off to the right, linking with the north side of the Mawddach Estuary.
