West Brompton
A southbound freight passes West Brompton LT station in June 1969 hauled by EE Type 1 locomotive no D8000. Photograph taken leaning over the fence alongside the northbound District Line platform 2, with the western edge of Earl's Court Arena visible on the right beyond the station roof. At that time the West London Line was still very much a cross-London freight corridor with no hint of the changes that would take place here 30 years later see image 5126.
