An unusual arrangement applies at Navigation Road station. Metrolink trams in both directions use the west side platform as seen here with 1022 calling on the way to Altrincham. The right hand platform is used by Northern main line services from Chester to Manchester and both systems are single track through the platforms (with only the Metrolink line having an overhead wire these days) but revert to double on either side of the station.
