Skelton Junction (CLC)
Once a three way junction Skelton is now much quieter. The line to Warrington via Lymm, which finally closed to freight in 1985, went off to the left. Straight on is the line to Partington and Glazebrook, disused since its last freight in 1993. The very tall junction signalbox has also gone but the surviving double track line still carries passenger and freight traffic. Just out of sight this swings left under the Partington line and joins the Altrincham line at Navigation Road.
