The Midland Compound No. 1000, double heading with Jubilee No. 5690 'Leander' passing the overbridge immediately north of Kirkby Stephen station while working the southbound Cumbrian Mountain Pullman of 12th February 1983. The pair had worked north in atrocious conditions the previous Saturday.
