Blackford

The 09.25 Glasgow Queen Street to Aberdeen ScotRail Express hauled by 47 703 speeds past Blackford village in April 1989, its DBSO at the rear. The following year, an hourly service of Class 158 DMUs replaced these “push-pull” sets. The DBSOs ended up paired with Class 86 locos on the (then) newly electrified London to Norwich service.
