London Road [Carlisle]

Looking east towards Carlisle's former London Road station in 2003. The Newcastle & Carlisle Railway opened the city's first station here in 1837, also used by Lancaster & Carlisle and Maryport & Carlisle trains for a time prior to the opening of Citadel, following which the location became a goods depot. London Road Goods is seen here abandoned in May 2003, following a period of use as a fertiliser warehouse.
