The Saturday 06.55 Gloucester - Leeds on the former Midland mainline half a mile south of Goose Hill Junction in April 1976. 45071 was the first the of the class to run without a headcode panel (following accident repairs carried out in 1975) in anticipation of reporting numbers no longer being displayed, a policy implemented from early in 1976.
