Newton-on-Ayr

Just before the Duchess was due at Newton-on-Ayr with the 'Great Britain V' on 26 April this Killoch - Drax coal train emerged behind 66585, snaking across from the Mauchline line and stopping to collect a crewman. It then crawled through the station blocking all views of the down line and potentially of the Duchess - causing some anxiety among the waiting paparazzi. Fortunately it had gone by the time the Pacific appeared.
