One Glasgow 'Coronation' tram glimpsed from another on 4th August 1962, a month before the system was finally closed down. By this time only route 9 remained operational, between Dalmuir and Auchenshuggle, basically running on an east/west axis through the city centre. The scene is on London Road, between Bridgeton Cross and Fielden Street, in an area that has changed beyond all recognition since the photograph was taken.
