Wigan North Western
Making every effort to regain time following a delayed start from Blackpool, the driver of 46233 storms south through Wigan North Western on 16 June 2012 with the return Fylde Coast Express to Crewe and Sheffield. Shortly before the Duchess arrived a northbound Virgin Voyager had been blocking the view. There were a lot of relieved enthusiasts as it set off with seconds to spare and the rear of the unit can still be seen to the left of the photo.
