Rheine
Two oil fired 3 cylinder 2-10-0s, Nos, 043 737 and 043 087, in repose adjacent to the roundhouse at Rheine in September 1974. Pre-computerisation these had been numbered 44 1737 and 44 087 respectively but in 1968 the opportunity was taken to differentiate between oil and coal-fired locos and the former became class 043, the latter class 044. Both locos survived in service until the end of steam at Rheine in October 1977.
