Barry

The rusting and tenderless 9F 92245 together with Black 5 44901 standing in the south east corner of the yard at the former 88C Barry steam shed. This is now run by Cambrian Transport as the base for the Vale of Glamorgan Steam Railway. In 2013 the two locos were somewhat crudely dismantled to remove boiler and cab from the frames. See image 48402 Some parts were to be used for other rebuild projects. The rolling chassis of 44901, as of Jan 2023, is now located at the Vale of Berkeley Railway in Gloucestershire.
