Aberystwyth
Scene at Aberystwyth on 27 June 1974, with BR Sulzer Type 2 No. 24145 being prepared for departure with train 1E24, the overnight mail to York, which conveyed passenger accommodation throughout. However it was effectively two different trains as far as passengers were concerned (and doesn't seem to have been advertised as a through train) - leaving at around 18.30, it arrived at Shrewsbury by 21.00 and stood there for almost two hours before restarting its journey at 22.50.
