Fischen
The trend in Germany in recent years has been for multiple units to displace loco hauled workings, both diesel and electric, with the former now almost in the endangered category. One exception to this trend is the Allgäu Express connecting Munich with Lindau and Oberstdorf, which is operated by Arriva using diesel electric locos of Siemens Type ER20 and refurbished long distance coaches. No. 223071 pauses at Fischen on 10 March 2008 with the Oberstdorf portion of the 06.51 from München Hbf, which it has brought from Immenstadt - the front portion of the train (probably comprising just two coaches) will have proceeded to Lindau behind a similar machine.
