Portobello East Junction
A weekday afternoon spent on the ECML at Portobello East Junction in 1970 was almost guaranteed to produce a good crop of Claytons - here No. D8565 runs light engine along the up slow line, no doubt heading for Millerhill. The chimney of Portobello power station is smoking away lustily in the background.
