Carstairs
Class 50s Nos. D412 and D448 bring the 14.00 Glasgow Central to London Euston under the impressive signal gantry to the north of Carstairs station on 23 May 1970. The double heading of these locos on WCML expresses had only started at the timetable change less than three weeks previously.
