One of the last remaining structures on the Wivenhoe-Brightlingsea branch was this waterside trestle bridge on the approach to the terminus. It can be easily appreciated how the line became so severely damaged in the 1953 floods, taking months to repair. The view is towards Wivenhoe in August 1976.
