Fairlie

A train for Largs disappears 'wrong line' into the tunnel at Fairlie in 1986, with the down line out of use pending electrification. Once the layout on the branch has been 'rationalised', the up line will be lifted and masts erected, with the down line and platform becoming bi-directional.
