The alignment of the new Borders Railway, looking north over the site of the future Eskbank station on 9th October 2012. As in many places along the route corridor, the existing railway path will have to be diverted to an alternative on-road alignment - the only locations where the (single-track) railway will share the future solum with a walking / cycling path will be around Galashiels, including the 'Red Bridge' over the River Tweed.
