Looking north over the solum of the Borders Railway towards what is now the Scottish Mining Museum at Newtongrange on 9th October 2012. The museum will potentially be a significant generator of traffic for the railway, but the public path currently occupying the solum will - here and on other stretches - be diverted to less satisfactory on-road replacement routes.
