A short walk east along the Deeside Way from the Royal Deeside Railway at Milton of Crathes and you will find slightly hidden by trees the station of Crathes complete with a recreated signalbox. The photo has been taken from the Ballater platform looking east with the station building slightly hidden by vegetation. Much of the trackbed from Milton of Crathes was on an embankment but has been dug out resulting in a slight diversion for the Deeside Way path.
