The GNSR memorial at Aberdeen station to men of the Company's service killed in the Great War. By the end of that war the total number of staff serving their country was 609, or 22% of the workforce. Of these 93 were to die and are recorded on the oak memorial in raised gilt letters. A wreath was placed here by the Great North of Scotland Railway Association on 11 November 2012.
