Deerness Valley Junction
GBRf 66739, formerly Freightliner 66579, heads a long train of coal hoppers north at Deeerness Valley Junction, just south of Durham station. This picture was taken from a viewpoint that has been created on the pier of the old stone bridge that spanned the tracks at this point but was demolished after replacement by a steel one. Even a bench is provided!
