Halberstadt

Halberstadt, on the western side of the former DDR, was a class 219 stronghold into the 21st century, albeit by the summer of 2002 class 218s from the west had made big inroads into their numbers. A long line of 219s stands in the shed yard in August 2002 in a variety of liveries - the first two in DB 'Orient red', followed by a number in the current (2012) DB 'traffic red', with an example further down the line still in DR burgundy with cream stripes see image 41353.
