Meppen
DB oil-fired 3 cylinder 2-10-0 043 903 makes for Emden at Meppen with a load of bogie hoppers early on the morning of 7th September 1974. 043 903 had been built in 1943 by the French firm Batignolles in Nantes as 44 903 and remained in West Germany after WW2, unlike most of the French built members of the class running on DB metals, which were eventually repatriated to their country of manufacture.
