Carlisle
A once familiar sight on the Carlisle stabling roads, but not for much longer. AC electrics 86101 Sir William A. Stanier F. R. S. and 87002 Royal Sovereign were at Carlisle for ice breaker duties in February 2013 but are to be withdrawn from the main line when this requirement ceases. A great shame to say the least and its unclear at the moment what the future holds.
