Beattock
The RCTS 'A4 to Glasgow' railtour stands at Beattock station on 16 July 1967 behind no 60019 Bittern. The special, which had originated from Leeds, ran north from Carlisle to Glasgow Central on the WCML and returned via the GSW route. An EE Type 1 provided assistance on the ascent of Beattock bank.
