Nine Elms Shed
The shed yard at Nine Elms on a wet August afternoon in 1961 plays host to a pair of southern region veterans. On the left is 1904 Wainwright C class 0-6-0 no 31510, while alongside is Billinton E4 radial 0-6-2T no 32473 of 1898 vintage. Both locomotives were withdrawn the following year, with the latter now famously preserved on the Bluebell Railway see image 38400.
