A Grand Central train for Kings Cross (Adelante 180105) calls at Brighouse on Sunday 18th March 2013. Brighouse re-opened in 2000 (after being closed for 30 years) and services were initially only on the Huddersfield to Halifax route. Direct services from Manchester to Leeds via Dewsbury followed and the through services to London complete this amazing change in the station's fortunes. The people on the platform shown here had just watched the Tin Bath steam special depart after a water stop.
