Funchal
The old rack railway from Funchal to beyond Monte has been turned into a road known variously as Rue de Comboio, Caminho de Comboio and Ave de Comboio (basically Railway Rd). Houses now line much of the route but there is evidence of its former use at various points such as this overbridge in the suburbs of Funchal. View south down the steep hill towards the centre of the city.
