The ironstone railways feeding the short-lived (46 years) Corby steelworks were lightly laid and left little trace after their passing. My c1980 OS map shows a railway here, along the farm track, and a second line in a cutting to the right now infilled and grassed over. There is no trace of a level crossing beneath my feet, but a couple of broken arch bricks bore witness to the former bridge to my right. Stewarts and Lloyds feeder lines
