The impressive station building at Maryborough, Victoria, in 2013. Maryborough (pop c 7600) was described by Mark Twain as a railway station with a town attached. Passenger services ended in 1993 and the station became derelict, but was refurbished in 2006/2007 and in 2010 saw a limited passenger service reintroduced, basically one train morning and afternoon. The freight yard has remained open and operating. Needless to say, during this visit there were no signs of activity.
