Reichenbach
Last stop for Sherlock Holmes! Reichenbach (Sachsen) is one of five towns of this name in Germany. While the quality of trains throughout Germany is almost universally good (and outstanding in the case of the ICE units), much of the railway environment around small to medium-sized stations in the old East is neglected and unattractive. Reichenbach is no exception, with the boarded-up graffiti-adorned building and overgrown former goods yard forming a dismal backdrop for a Dresden-Goerlitz Regionalbahn service on 3rd July 2013.
