Bellingham (North Tyne)
Shrouded in steam, a member of the footplate crew climbs back on board Ivatt 4MT 2-6-0 no 43129 at Bellingham on 9 November 1963. The locomotive has just run round The Wansbeck Wanderer and is preparing to return to Reedsmouth. The special will later visit the Rothbury branch see image 31617 before heading back to Newcastle via Morpeth.
