Looking through the former 89C Machynlleth steam shed on 17 October 2013. View is west with the new ERTMS signalling centre building framed by the entrance openings. Beyond that is the roof of the main station building. The steam shed pits are used for deep cleaning of engines and bogies, with a lightweight bridge structure outside the west end for roof cleaning.
