Witton Gilbert
Witton Gilbert, on the Consett to Durham line, closed along with Knitsley, Lanchester and Bear Park in 1939. Goods traffic continued to pass through until 1966. Like Knitsley and Lanchester it is now a private residence and has been tastefully extended as seen here from the old station approach.
