Hellifield
Signals at Hellifield, April 2014. Left: Vewed in close-up, it can be seen that Hellifield signal HD52 applies to the down loop and not the down main, as might be thought when seen from a distance. Right: Forty years ago, a starting signal like this on the up side would hardly have warranted a second glance. Thankfully it has not been spoiled by clumsy modern alterations.
