Riccarton Junction

A lightly-loaded southbound goods drifts into Riccarton Junction on the afternoon of Monday 6th November 1961, headed by Black Five No. 45330. Just to the right of the loco is evidence of recent rationalisation of the track layout, possibly a consequence of the closure of the Border Counties line to freight three years earlier.
