The imposing train shed of Hamburg Hauptbahnhof shelters three very different trains on 11th June. To the right is a Deutsche Bahn IC (Intercity) service, while in the middle is a Metronom double-decker on regional duties - superficially the latter looks like a private operation, but the company is actually owned by the three German Laender (states) of Bremen, Hamburg and Niedersachsen. On the left Deutsche Bahn's 17.28 ICE (Intercity-Express) to Copenhagen is formed by a Class 605 high-speed tilting DMU.
