Windsor and Eton Central

August Bank Holiday Monday 1975 was rather warm in Windsor. Tired trippers awaiting a train home are grateful for the shade from the long canopy on platform 1 at Windsor & Eton Central. Since then, the station has undergone two major redevelopments: firstly, as an exhibition site for Madame Tussauds, and latterly as the Windsor Royal Shopping mall. The platform was shortened each time until it became only suitable for 3 coach trains. [Ref query 10710]
