Gregson Lane
A4 no 60009 Union of South Africa heads east at Gregson Lane LC on 26 July with the Cumbrian Mountain Express from Crewe to Carlisle via the S&C. Normally the loco would be working hard at this point on the climb up Hoghton bank but the fire risk due to dry conditions and the lineside vegetation resulted in the train receiving assistance from 57316 on the rear.
