Washington South Junction
37078+37067 arriving off the Stanhope and Tyne route at Washington South Junction in the late 1970s with a train of iron ore empties from Consett. The train will reverse in Washington sidings before heading south to Redcar, which had replaced Tyne Dock as the ore import terminal from 1974 until final closure of the steelworks in 1980.
