Barry
The rolling chassis and cab of Black 5 44901, and the boiler and cab of 9F 92245, seen at the former Barry MPD in February 2013. The boiler of 44901 had been removed from site for use elsewhere. The left hand tender link tread plate of 44901 still shows part of the for sale legend seen in the Peter Todd Feb 1986 view of the loco whilst in Barry scrapyard See image 22739. The boiler from 92245 was acquired by Locomotive Services and is being overhauled to be made ready for fitting into their, normally Mid Hampshire Railway based, sister loco 92212 during its 10 year overhaul in 2020. The rolling chassis of 44901, as of Jan 2023, is now located at the Vale of Berkeley Railway in Gloucestershire.
