A study tour by the Association of Community Rail Partnerships based at the German town of Nordhausen in August 2003 included a visit to the town's tram depot, which resulted in an impromptu tour of the tram system using vintage vehicle No. 23 (can't see that happening in Edinburgh somehow!). On the extreme left is well-known Edinburgh rail campaigner Lawrence Marshall and to right of centre isn't our CIA minder but Railscot contributor Ian Dinmore.
