Ulm
Despite the continued decline in the amount of loco haulage of passenger services in Germany, the city of Ulm remains a relative hot-spot for class 218. On the afternoon of 11 March 2008, 218 240 sets off from Ulm Hbf with the 15:51 stopping service to Illertissen (on the non-electrified secondary route to Kempten), while on the right station pilot (remember these!) 364 533 positions the locos (218 436 and 438) and stock for the 16:12 inter-regional express to Lindau.
