Michaelstein
218 435 working the 15:42 from Elbingerode to Halberstadt in August 2003 pauses at the reversing station of Michaelstein before starting the steep descent to Blankenburg. At reunification the terminus of the line had been at Koenigshuette, a few miles beyond Elbingerode, but the service was cut back in 1999 and withdrawn beyond Blankenburg in December 2005.
