Early one morning. EWS 90022 'Freight Connection' stands well beyond the down platform at Carstairs at 0620 on 11 July 2006, having just brought in the 16 coach Caledonian Sleeper from Euston. Back in the station the train is being divided between coaches 8 and 9, following which 90022 will continue to Glasgow Central and the rear portion will head for Edinburgh Waverley behind EWS 37405 see image 9871.
