The ashpan of 9F 92063 looks as if it has just been emptied following its return to Tyne Dock shed on completion of the Saturday morning shift on 3 September 1966. Just eleven weeks after this picture was taken, 92063 (but in much better external condition) had the honour of heading the last steam hauled iron ore train to Consett.
