A down freight photographed just south of Symington on 25 March 1966. At the head of the train is Kingmoor Black 5 44677 with 'dead' Fairburn tank 42165 marshalled immediately behind. The latter had been withdrawn from Derby shed more than a year earlier and was now on its final journey - to Wishaw, where it was cut up in the yard of Motherwell Machinery & Scrap the following June.
